Prevention

Poverty is one of the main causes of child trafficking and slavery. Impoverished families often resort to selling their children, prostitution, and are easily tricked into believing the fake promise of a high paying job away from their homes. Our goal is to host free workshop on the dangers of trafficking in communities that are economically vulnerable and are at high risk.

Fair wages and education are strategic prevention tools. Educational programs for minors and fair wages for the adults not only provide opportunity, but hope and dignity as well. Our partner safe homes currently offer both. We are looking forward to being able to provide these initiatives in our safe homes by 2013.
